Episode 2 - Re: A conversation with my Self!

Me: Am I awake or am I dreaming?

Self: What makes you think you're dreaming?

Me: Well, it's just that I've been in so much pain for so long, and I feel so good right now, and some things have happened here lately that have been just so wonderful.

Self: So - are you in pain now?

Me: Not much.

Self: But you do have some.

Me: A little.

Self: Then you are probably awake since you can't feel pain if you're asleep.

Me: This is true. But then if that is the case, is this fantasy or reality?

Self: Is what fantasy or reality?

Me: Well, I've met this incredible woman and, well, we just seem to get along so well together. And it just - feels - so - , I don't know, right. So I need to know if this is fantasy or reality?

Self: What's the difference?

Me: Well, see, that's part of the problem. I'm not sure myself. You know, the lines get kinda' blurred.

Self: No they don't.

Me: What do you mean?

Self: Well, you're awake aren't you? Rhetorical question! Already established. And you're capable of feeling pain. So the next question is, is this really happening?

Me: Well, that's just it. How can I tell?

Self: From the paper trail. If there's no paper, then it's probably fantasy. If there's paper, then it's reality.

Me: Weeeell, I still got my ticket stub from Loretta Williams. And she *has* lent me a couple of books. And then she came over for dinner Saturday night and brought a really good blueberry pie and a necklace for bOO.

Self: Sounds pretty concrete to me. I'd say it's reality.

Now, pay me and have a nice day.
